Asbestos collection and disposal
Asbestos doesn't cease to be dangerous once it's removed from a building fabric, so we offer a turnkey disposal solution for complete peace-of-mind. Our asbestos collection service provides a cost-effective solution to clients generating asbestos waste, with daily pick ups across the UK ensuring material does not have to remain on site any longer than necessary. All movement is done in strict accordance with current legislation complete with Section 62 consignment notes
Reinstatement & repair
Our integrated approach means that removal is just one part of a contract. Making good through reinstatement ensures that we leave our working area as we found it, only safer. Our Thermal & Acoustic Insulation division designs and manufactures sheet metal cladding to replace asbestos-based thermal insulation, while qualified tradesmen cover other required works such as plastering and partitioning. By employing a full range of allied tradesmen, including electricians and plumbers, we can also provide flexible, cost-effective solutions for general repairs in asbestos-affected environments.
Roofing and recladding
One of the most common areas for problem asbestos is the corrugated roofing sheet. These can still be found on homes, factories and offices across the country but their removal demands close liaison with reinstatement teams to minimise disruption and discomfort. Our Roofing and Cladding division was set up specifically to manage all roof-related issues, including surveys, replacement roof installations, a 24-hour call out service and renovation where appropriate.
Insurance asbestos management
Aspect provides turnkey solutions for insurance companies and loss adjusters who are handling claims where asbestos may be involved. From the initial notification, we take full responsibility for liaising with the policyholder, attending site, taking samples, testing for asbestos and then making further arrangements for removal and repair if required. We work closely with the insurers' preferred repair companies to ensure that all works are completed in an acceptable timeframe for the policyholder.
Training
It's critical that we also make clients and potential clients aware of the facts as regards asbestos and, of course, their on-going duty of care to manage the hazard on-site. Our experienced training team gives regular awareness seminars and conducts workshops on the latest regulations and risk management within the workplace. This is complemented by award-winning internal training that ensures all employees have the requisite understanding, professionalism and motivation to do their jobs to the required standard. Indeed, we have notched up consecutive triumphs, winning the ARCA Training Award (Southern Region) for three years running.
Aspect has also developed the Asbestos Awareness Contactors Scheme, a training, education and information initiative designed to help non-licensed contractors and tradesmen work safely and within the law. The AACS is accredited by UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) and is widely regarded as one of the leading training schemes currently available.
Technical & servicing
Proper asbestos management demands the most stringent technical standards and operating procedures, supported by the very latest in plant and equipment. As a result, we can offer a range of quality-led services to an external market including face-fit testing and decontamination provision.
