Health and Safety 24/7 – Every employee must have a safe working environment. Nothing less is acceptable

This is valid for every workplace that we operate in, ranging from building sites and customer premises to workplaces for administration functions and our warehouses.

The asbestos industry itself has changed dramatically over the last 20 years and has developed into a highly regulated and legislated industry due to the potential hazardous nature of the work carried out. This requires exceptional health and safety management systems to minimise all risks to employees and the public.

We manage the impact that our business has on health and safety within the workplace by maintaining a Health and Safety Management System accredited to the international ISO18001 2007 standard.

People are our most important asset and in order for them to continue to perform at the highest possible level we need to provide the best possible training to ensure they are safe and stay healthy .

Health – All our staff are enrolled in a Fit To Work Programme which includes access to health assessments by medical professionals and our Operational site staff undergo two yearly asbestos medicals.

Training – We continuously train our staff to the highest level in order to maintain their professional competency. We use a mix of internal and external trainers and also provide training and support in asbestos awareness and first aid to outside companies.

Training is tracked by our internal TNA system, with information provided to onsite staff via tablet technology.

Compliance – Training does not in itself make people competent; our health and safety arrangements are constantly being tested and monitored through site audits by both internal and external bodies. Audits are returned instantly to the Compliance Department via the tablet technology, enabling thorough root cause analysis and corrective actions to be applied quickly.

Aspect is proud of its numerous accreditations and holds a three year HSE asbestos licence in both the UK and Northern Ireland. Aspect works in accordance to the core elements advised by the HSE.


All contracts are assessed for health and safety risks at each stage, from design and delivery to final use, and senior managers regularly visit contracts to review health and safety with employees at all levels.
