We have vast proven and demonstrable experience of successfully managing and completing works to budget and often time precious timescales. We work around term times and examinations within live occupied, complex and challenging Higher Education and University buildings, local authority and private schools and academies on a national scale.
As an appointed member of the NEUPC Framework and several other measured term contracts and frameworks, we work for numerous high-profile clients, particularly with prestigious University and Higher Education clients throughout the UK. We often work as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer under The Construction (Design and Management) regulations (2015).
We understand that Education projects can be extremely challenging environments, often city centre located, requiring exemplary levels of health and safety to protect not only our staff, but those of our clients, students, the general public or any other contractors or visitors to the site. Large scale projects require a greater degree of planning around logistics, site access, pedestrian segregation and traffic management. As with all our clients, we are a flexible contactor and where practically possible, change our working methods, processes and procedures to help our clients achieve their end goals and objectives, minimising disruption to the client and associated parties. All projects are undertaken sensitively so as to minimise any disruption, with examples including changing working timescales from daytime to night-time during examination and term-time periods. Our suitably experienced and qualified Operational teams are DBS checked, able to act as subject matter experts and give advice and reassurance where required.
Our experience includes working in plant rooms, laboratories, gymnasiums and classrooms, often within challenging confined spaces such as duct systems and risers. Property types include both Grade I and Grade II listed buildings, 1960's Constructed buildings, Victorian and CLASP structures across multi-site environments requiring meticulous planning of sequentially phased projects working in partnership with all stakeholders at all times.
Our national labour force of +160 suitably qualified and experienced Supervisors and Operatives provide our clients with a 365 days a year, 24/7 'during' and 'out-of-hours' service, including emergency on-site support, acting as subject matter experts.
