Collection and Disposal
Our asbestos collection service provides cost-effective solutions to any client generating asbestos waste. With daily pick-ups across the UK (ensuring material does not have to remain on site any longer than necessary) all movement is done in strict accordance with current legislation complete with Section 62 consignment notes.
Aspect offer vehicle collection services together with sealed and open containers for those sites that produce larger volumes of waste. Our national coverage gives each client an integrated asbestos solution. Our asbestos waste transfer station facilities can give clients the opportunity to transport their own waste to us and be sure they are disposing of their waste at a recognised waste transfer facility.
Asbestos Facts
According to the HSE 3 Plumbers ,20 Tradesmen , 6 Electricians, 6 Joiners die every year from this hidden killer.
Why is asbestos dangerous?
Working on or near damaged asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) or breathing in high levels of asbestos fibres, which may be many hundreds of times that of environmental levels, could increase your chances of getting an asbestos-related disease.
When these fibers are inhaled they can cause serious diseases which are responsible for around 4000 deaths a year. There are four main diseases caused by asbestos: mesothelioma (which is always fatal), lung cancer (almost always fatal), asbestosis (not always fatal, but it can be very debilitating) and diffuse pleural thickening (not fatal).
These diseases will not affect you immediately but later on in life, so there is a need for you to protect yourself now to prevent you contracting an asbestos-related disease in the future. It is also important to remember that people who smoke and are also exposed to asbestos fibres are at a much greater risk of developing lung cancer.
